LUB works to restore power; 5,000 without power initially

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – LUB General Manager Kenny Baird called Wednesday night and Thursday morning’s wind storm “a monster.” LUB has nearly 23,000 electric customers, and, at the height of the storm, there were around 5,000 customers in the dark.

Despite the staggering number of customers initially without power, LUB crews have chopped 5,000 outages down to less than 100. “It will probably be Friday evening before everyone is restored,” said Baird. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/01/2022-6AM)
