LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A call of a possible burglary before 6am on Sunday sent Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Dakota Williams to Cross Valley Rd. When he arrived, he found a man yelling near the road. Williams noticed the man was allegedly unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. The man said he lived at 173 Earl Woodson Lane and believed someone was in his home. Williams, along with Deputy Jacob Fox went into the mobile home.

While Williams was inside the home, he allegedly saw a hypodermic syringe and multiple empty clear plastic corner baggies, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. After no one was found inside, Deputy Preston Mullins asked the man, identified as Brandon Lee Longmire, if he saw any signs of a burglary or any new damage to the property; Longmire said he didn’t. Longmire allegedly told Williams he often sees things or sleepwalks after using Methamphetamine. He was asked when the last time he used was, and Longmire allegedly replied around 3pm on Saturday. Mullins asked Longmire if he knew what day it was, Longmire said it was either Monday or Tuesday morning.

Longmire, 41, 173 Earl Woodson Lane, LaFollette was charged with public intoxication. He is free on bond and due in court in early June. This was the 13th arrest for Longmire, according to Campbell County Jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/28/2022-6AM)
