As a child, she grew up enjoying the music of Elvis Presley and visiting her granny in Kentucky for the summers.  Mom enjoyed visiting the Cumberland Falls and would tell us how they could walk behind the falls when she was younger.

Evelyn at times worked as a substitute teacher for the Campbell County School System.

Evelyn had a rough go at life.  She made the best of it.  A true Irish, she was frumpy and not an open book and kept a lot of her feelings and emotions to herself.  She enjoyed, helping raise her grandchildren.  Well, rather she enjoyed it or not, she did it… We leaned on her for that support, and she was there. She enjoyed her TV, cokes, and a pack of cigarettes.  She never missed her soap operas.

Honoring mom’s wishes, she will be cremated and a private memorial will be held at a later date.
