This slide happened Monday morning on I-75 on the northbound side near the Rarity Mountain Exit 156.

JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – One lane is closed on I-75 North at MM 156.6 in Campbell County due to a slide. This is approximately 5 miles from the TN/KY state line. Geotechnical engineers are assessing the situation.

Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck explains to WLAF that due to the rockslide near the Rarity Mountain Road Exit, some possible changes may occur in the Stinking Creek/ Lowes Branch area of Campbell County.

Expect increased traffic coming through Caryville, Jacksboro and La Follette.

“The northbound ON ramp could be closed in the coming days. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will have a message board up notifying you if the ramp is closed in order to help you plan accordingly. We are unsure how long this route will be affected but the Campbell County Road Superintendent’s office will be working diligently to keep the citizens of Campbell County aware of any changes,” said Dilbeck.
