TOP PHOTO: TCAT Jacksboro held its spring induction ceremony last Tuesday for the National Technical Honor Society as 50 students were inducted.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – On Tuesday, April 19, TCAT Jacksboro held its spring induction ceremony for the National Technical Honor Society. The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) was established to recognize academic achievement for students in technical education.  

In order to be eligible to be inducted into the NTHS, students must excel academically and exhibit good worker characteristics.  Students are nominated by their faculty member. Fifty students were inducted in the spring ceremony.

Boy Scout Troop 310 presented the colors and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance under the direction of Scout Masters Chris Thacker and Crystal Thacker.  Special guest Dr. Tachaka Hollins, Assistant Vice Chancellor with the Tennessee Board of Regents assisted in presenting students with their certificates.  Our guest speaker Dr. Jothany Blackwood, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs with the Tennessee Board of Regents congratulated the students with a motivational speech.  

The students, faculty, and staff want to thank our everyone who was a part of this important celebration.
