JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) hosts two National Prescription Take Back days annually in April and October. During these events, Campbell United partners with local law enforcement and other agencies to collect unused, unwanted, and expired medications from the community.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Department and Campbell United Anti-Drug Coalition will host this event at Terry’s Pharmacy (Jacksboro location) to reduce the number of unused, unwanted, and expired medications in homes around our community. Disposing of medications properly reduces the risk of substance misuse and environmental harm caused by flushing or throwing medications away improperly.

Terry’s Pharmacy at Jacksboro hosts “Prescription Take Back Day” on Saturday from 10am until 2pm.

National Prescription Take-Back will be held on Saturday, April 30,10 am – 2 pm at Terry’s Pharmacy Jacksboro location at Belle Meade. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/26/2022-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF JUSTIN WILSON)
