JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Last night the Town of Jacksboro met and worked through its light agenda in less than 10 minutes. The board began by approving minutes from the previous meeting.

Next up on the agenda was approval of repairs on the police department’s 2015 Durango that was recently damaged. The repairs totaled $1,082 and will be covered by insurance. The board approved releasing donation funds for the Jacksboro Cemetery totaling $1,500.

The board approved paying $250 for CDL training for T.J. Bolinger with the street department. In final business the board agreed to give Jeannie Higdon an extension on the destruction order of an apartment building until September. The building has to be safe for the public and to the satisfaction of the codes officer or Higdon will have to appear sooner before the board. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/06/2022-6AM)
