Jerry Sharp on a trip to Cumberland Falls, Kentucky.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Word came in to WLAF this afternoon that Jerry Sharp passed away today after a brief illness.

Sharp joined his family business, La Follette Machine & Tool, in the early 1960s. It was founded in 1936 by his father, J. Minton Sharp, and the younger Sharp carried on his father’s business after his retirement in 1977.

Cross-Smith Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
