Rev. Bill Loy, age 84 arrived in Heaven on Saturday, May 7, 2022, to be with his beloved wife, Charlotte, Infant Daughter, Karen, devoted Son, Mike, and Infant Grandson, Crawford.  Greeting him at Heaven’s Pearly Gates were his Parents, Wiley and Maggie (Branam) Loy, Sisters, Katherine Richardson, Jesse Ayers, and Mae Gregory, Brothers, Rufus Loy, Harry Loy, and Tip Branam. 

Bill was a devout Christian and Pastor of Walnut Grove Baptist Church on Stinking Creek for many years.  He loved a practical joke and to tell stories of his childhood adventures.  He also loved gardening, canning, and woodworking.  Billy had many sayings and many Bible verses he would quote to make people stop and think about their lives.  He often would answer your question with a question.

He leaves behind his Granddaughter, Anna Loy; Daughter-in-Law, Shannon Loy; Special Friends, Frieda Chadwell and Deloris Allen.  Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Delmus Bruce and Rev. Marvin Seibers officiating.  Interment to follow at Davis Cemetery on Big Four Road.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday before Funeral Services.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to:  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL., Memphis, TN  38105-9959 or Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, P. O. Box 4939, Maryville, TN  37802-4939, two of Bill’s favorite charities.  Online condolences for Rev.
