LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – While Campbell County Sheriff’s Sergeant Timothy Powers was patrolling on General Carl Stiner Highway near Middlesboro Road in the wee hours of Sunday, May 1, he noticed a silver Cadillac swerving on the road.

The vehicle swerved and almost struck some construction barrels. At approximately 2am, Powers stopped the car at Middlesboro Hwy and Shetland Drive. He spoke with the driver identified as Lyndol Miller, requesting his driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

Miller only handed Powers his driver’s license. A check of the license revealed the license was suspended for physical and medical reasons.

Miller, 78, 907 E Prospect Street, LaFollette was charged with failure to maintain lane, driving while suspended, revoked, or cancelled driver’s license and violation of Tennessee financial law. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/13/2022-6AM)
