LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The annual Lions Club Carnival is officially open in La Follette. It runs through Saturday opening each day at 4pm with a special noon opening on Saturday.

It was a good time by all on Tuesday’s opening day of the carnival.

Virgie Selvidge with the Lions Club says this year’s carnival has more rides, more game trailers and more food vendors.

Just’a swingin’.

Opening day had some great weather, and a good sized crowd came out to kick off the first day. Kids of all ages were lined up to ride many of the rides.

What’s a carnival without a deep fried Oreo according to La Follette Fire Fighter Nathaniel “Red” Vannorstran.

Lemon aid, deep fried Oreo’s, cotton candy and funnel cakes seemed to be the evening favorites. Some dad and moms dropping off kids didn’t leave until they had a funnel cake. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/18/2022-6AM)
