Sheriff to hold town hall meeting with church pastors this evening

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins conducted a news conference Monday afternoon surrounding letters, mysterious in nature, that have been found since last Thurs., June 16, at five Campbell County Baptist Churches, a business and a Masonic lodge.

As the investigation continues, the sheriff has a scheduled town hall, table discussion type meeting for local pastors this evening at 6pm at First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. “We’ll discuss any security concerns they may have or any concerns they may have on their behalf or their congregation,” said Sheriff Goins.

The sheriff describes the letters as “non-threatening,” and he has called on the FBI and THP for assistance. Mentioned in his statement, Sheriff Goins did say that one of the churches caught the suspect on a video surveillance camera. (WLAF NEWS PUBLIHED – 06/23/2022-6AM)
