LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Members of the LaFollette Fire Department hoisted a new sign this morning. People around have been curious about what was in the works for this new structure. Today, we know that it all reveals the City of LaFollette 125th Anniversary celebration. The event will start Saturday, July 9th.

You can see the sweat on their brows as Andrew Carroll (on the ladder), and on the ground L-R Dylan Goins and Mikey Walker finish up the south-facing side of the sign.

The event entails food & music entertainment on Central Ave, and there will be vendor booths setup in Sergeant’s Park in Downtown LaFollette. In the works is also a car show presented by the LA Cruiser’s that is located on S Tennessee Ave. LaFollette’s celebration also includes a carnival behind city hall. And to wrap it up, we’ll see some fireworks that night. All the actions starts at 10am July 9th and will last throughout the day.
