LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Rotarian David Hickman was inducted as South Campbell County Rotary Club President on Tuesday. Outgoing president Rayma Daugherty passed the gavel on to Hickman at Tuesday’s Rotary Club luncheon at the United Methodist Church.

Before passing the torch, Daugherty recognized and thanked Board and Committee members for all their hard work over the past year. “We have had a lot of achievements and accomplishments both on a local level and an international level, and I’m very proud to be part of that,” Daugherty said. She also reported that all of the goals set by Rotary for the year had been met, with some goals exceeded, including the membership goal.

Daugherty said Hickman had shown an impressive work ethic in participation in Rotary’s projects, which played a part in his selection as president. “On behalf of the members of your club and all who are here today, I congratulate you and wish you a happy and rewarding year,” Daugherty said. Hickman said he was happy to be starting his term as president of the club and excited about the upcoming year.
