LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A pursuit ends with a LaFollette woman facing multiple charges after crashing a truck that belongs to Campbell County. Campbell County Sheriff’s Sergeant Tosha Tackett was dispatched to the Lonas Young Park (White Bridge) area in the middle of the afternoon of June 21 where it was alleged a government (Campbell County) pick up truck had been stolen.

While enroute to the scene, the park employee reported he knew the female that had taken the truck. He stated that the woman had asked him for a ride, and he declined. The employee went on to say that he had gone to the restroom and as he was exiting, he saw the female driving the pick up toward the White Bridge prompting Tackett to begin searching for the stolen Ford F-150. Central Dispatch received several calls about sightings of the pick up, but Tackett was unable to locate it, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

Approximately an hour later dispatch notified Deputy Paul Harmon of a white truck with a small orange light on top almost colliding with two motorcycles on General Carl Stiner Hwy. A few moments after that, dispatch notified both Harmon and Tackett that the Tennessee Highway Patrol had a short pursuit with the pick up, and it had crashed on General Carl Stiner Hwy. Tackett arrived on scene where the THP had placed the female identified as Ashley Marie Carroll under arrest for separate charges.

Carroll, 34, of 944 Pleasant Ridge Road, LaFollette, faces several charges including DUI (driving under the influence) and theft of property under $10,000- 59,999. She is housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning on a half-million dollar secure bond and is due in court this afternoon. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/07/2022-6AM)
