LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A silver car was parked in the roadway of Lake Road at 4:30am when Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Powers happened upon it last Thursday. He made contact with the driver identified as Amy Nicole Violette who was seated in the passenger seat.

Violette allegedly said she and the driver were just sitting there talking, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. While Powers was speaking with her, he noticed a small baggie lying next to her with a clear crystal-like residue inside the bag along with several needles.

When Violette stepped out of the car, Powers noticed a small red cigarette pack lying in her seat. Inside of the cigarette pack were several baggies with residue and a yellow piece of paper with a crystal-like substance that Violette allegedly said was Meth.

Violette, 38, 708 Main Street, Jacksboro was charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance. According to jail records, this was Violette’s 18th arrest. Violette is free on bond awaiting an August 23rd court date. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/22/2022-6AM)
