Betty A. Stouffer
February 28, 1920—August 8, 2022

Mrs. Betty A. Stouffer, age 102, resident of Chunchula, AL (formally of Jacksboro, TN and Ohio) passed away peacefully at home Monday, August 8, 2022. She was a loving wife and mother, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Howard E. Stouffer, Parents Antonio and Angiolina Tucci, Son Daniel Everett Stouffer, Grandson Harold Russell George, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by her Daughter Geraldine Fullick of Crossville, TN, Son Howard O. Stouffer (Tiffany) of Lancaster, OH, Daughter Iris Conrad (Jerry) of Logan, OH and Daughter Betty J. George (Harold) of Chunchula, AL, Daughter-in-Law Belinda Stouffer, also 20 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, 18 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and numerous friends. She always told everyone she loved them and greeted them with a heartfelt smile.

Special mention to Shirley Butts and Bonnie Lindsey who she loved as daughters and Renda Stouffer.

Ms. Betty was a member of Gulfcrest Baptist Church, Chunchula, AL. She loved fishing, spending time with her beloved family and was a prayer warrior for anyone in need. She was adventurous and a hard worker. She helped her husband build their first home, digging footers and running a power saw. They loved to travel and go for family weekend rides, and she would make a huge pan of pork chops to enjoy when they stopped for the picnic lunch. She was born February 28, 1920, in Magnolia, Oh to Italian parents and named Bambina Tucci after her grandmother. She began going by Betty in the first grade when the teacher asked her Dad what it meant in English. With his heavy accent he replied Baby, but the teacher thought he said Betty and so from that time on she was known as Betty.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home of LaFollette, TN. Family 9:30 AM-10:00 AM, 10:00 AM-12 PM visitation, Funeral Service at 12:00 followed by Internment at Indian Creek Cemetery, Pinecrest Rd. Jacksboro, TN. Pastor Iris Conrad, Pastor Jack Smith and Pastor Billy Smith will be officiating. Pallbears: Jerry Conrad, Harold George, Marc Adcock, Levi Miller, Jeremy Allen, and Sabian Ragsdale. Danny Wilhoit as alternate.
