Here’s how the box culvert under the Towe String Road-Four Lane intersection looks and the reason the sink hole developed.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Officials with the City of La Follette met with leaders of the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to formulate a game plan to repair the Towe String Road entrance to the four lane, Hwy 25W/State Route 9 at the Citizens Bank stop light.

Towe String Road is one of the busier intersections along the four lane here in Campbell County.
The box culvert has given way, and the road above is following.
