Marcus Combs, age 86, of Norwood, Ohio, formerly of Hazard, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home.

He was born on February 3, 1936, to the late Monroe Combs and Fannie (Stacey) Combs in Hazard, KY.  He was retired from General Motors and was a lifelong member of the UAW.  He was also a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32-Degree Scottish Rite Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Ruth (Lambdin) Combs; five brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Combs) Martin Grote, and two grandsons, Michael Martin and Ian Grote, all of Cincinnati, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday morning, August 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral will immediately follow on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Ridenour officiating.

Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows’ Cemetery located in the White Oak Community of Campbell County, Tennessee.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
