Trula Marie Burnette, age 91 of Caryville, TN, formerly of Rose Hill, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 13, 1931, to the late Jasper Clinton and Martha Virginia Marcum Cavin in Rose Hill, VA. Trula loved quilting and cooking for people. She enjoyed her time keeping up with people on Facebook and watching game shows. She was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and hardly had any conversation when Jesus wasn’t mentioned. On her 90th birthday when asked how she had made it to that age, her reply was, “By being careful.” She also gave these words of wisdom, “Love the Lord, trust Him and hold His hand, and He will lead you through.” Trula will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dave Burnette; and siblings, Willard Cavin, Homer Cavin, Curtis “Ted” Cavin, JC Cavin, and Ethel Fee.

She is survived by: children, Kyle Burnette and wife Sheila, Terry Burnette and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Kyle Burnette, II and wife Tonya, Shaun Burnette and wife Jessica, Justin Burnette and wife Jessica, Jessica Burnette, and Jacob Burnette; great-grandchildren, Davey, Shaun, Karragan, Aidan, KJ, Michelle, Benjamin, Dylan, Chloe, and Prescott; sister-in-law, Emma Cavin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
