Lee Roy Galbraith, age 96 of Briceville, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 7, 1926 to the late Millard and Rose Ann Smith Galbraith in Devonia, TN. He moved to Ohio for work in his early years. He moved back to Tennessee in 1953 and together with JC Patterson began a “wheelbarrow coal company” just below his house that they worked for several years. He also worked for other coal companies as a miner. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be missed by those he leaves behind.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: wife, Helen Rose Galbraith; sisters, Mallie Smith, Flora Seiber, Minnie Parker, Francis Phillips, and Maxie Reed; brothers, Robert Galbraith, Frank Galbraith, and Jesse Galbraith.

He is survived by: son, James Lee Galbraith of Briceville; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. Graveside services will be on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.com
