LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Walker family founded Walker’s Grocery at the corner of East Kentucky and South Cumberland Avenues in the 1950s while in 1980, Bill and Vickie Van Etten opened the county’s very first McDonald’s at Woodson Mall.

The buildings have housed different businesses over the years since the Walkers and Van Ettens moved on. Over the weekend new businesses started up in those fabled locations.

Legends Home Town Grill, located in the old Walkers Store at the corner of South Cumberland and East Kentucky Avenues, is now open.
Now open is Sideline Bar & Grill in the one time McDonalds building located at Woodson Mall-Food City Center.
