CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Nearly two weeks ago, a Campbell County teen died, and the investigation is continuing.

WLAF News made contact with officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation this week asking if there were any further developments. “We don’t have any updates to provide other than to say the investigation remains active and ongoing,” said Leslie Earhart, Public Information Officer for the TBI.

TBI special agents in the Drug Investigation Division are working alongside the Caryville Police Department to investigate the circumstances leading to the death of 17-year old Kimber Wilson (DOB: 7/14/05).

Wilson’s body was found inside a residence, believed to be her grandparents home, in the 100 block of Tennessee Street Tuesday morning (August 30). An autopsy was performed.

Family members say she graduated high school ahead of schedule, and that she was excited for her journey ahead of being a mother. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/08/2022-6AM)
