KNOXVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – WLAF alum and Campbell High graduate Noah Smith has been hired to work for the University of Tennessee system.

“I am so looking forward to giving back to my home county through my role working for the President of UT,” said Smith. “I am very excited to announce that I have accepted a position upon graduation in December working for the UT System President Randy Boyd.” 

“I have been with the UT System President’s Office for four years now and it has been such an incredible experience. I am thrilled President Boyd wants to keep me onboard with our incredible team as we work to make this the greatest decade in the history of UT. President Boyd is not only my boss but an incredible mentor and friend.,” Smith said. “I will be working directly for President Boyd in a plethora of ways to ensure his continued success and UT’s continued success. I will be traveling with the president, coordinating logistics, working with our executive team, taking on special projects, and much more. I will also serve as a resource and leader for all of our campuses system-wide on enhancing the veteran, ROTC, and military-connected student experience.”

Smith will also still be working towards his commission to become a United States Army Officer in the Tennessee National Guard.
