Charles “Chuck” Wade Nelson, age 66 of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home. He was born on April 1, 1956 to the late Paul and Mae Ruth (Cox) Nelson. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family, raising cattle, building houses, and doing some maintenance at SL Tennessee. 

He is survived by his brothers Arnold Nelson and wife Magdaline of Caryville, Timothy Nelson and wife Kimberly of New York, Jack Nelson and companion Sandy of White Oak, Rick Nelson and wife Edwina of LaFollette, and Daniel Nelson and wife Maranatha of LaFollette; sisters Melissa Lay and husband Mark of LaFollette and Lechell Wall and husband Gary of LaFollette; and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. 

The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Brother Derrick Hembree officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1, 2022 to go in funeral procession to the Nelson Family Cemetery for a 10:00 AM interment.

  1. This hits hard for I’ve known Chuck all his life and he was such a good friend and cousin,Chuck will be missed so much.
