LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The fun of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 The 70s trips back to October 1, 1977, Sunday night at 8 pm over WLAF radio. The fun three hours of memories are brought to you by Maynard’s Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers.

Electric Light Orchestra’s Telephone Line was playing on everyone’s radio as was Handy Man from James Taylor. The Brothers Johnson had a huge hit in Strawberry Letter 23 while the theme from the latest James Bond movie was a chart mover for Carly Simon. The movie was The Spy Who Loved Me, and the song was Nobody Does It Better. In addition to these songs, you’ll hear the nation’s other top 36 songs over WLAF just like they all played here on the old radio station in 1977.

American Top 40, The 70s airs Saturday nights at 7:00 o’clock and Sundays at 8pm over WLAF’s FM 100.9 and AM 1450 and is brought to you by Maynard’s Wrecker Service & Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/01/2023-6AM)
