JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Shows Off is hosting a Fall Festival and Halloween Boo Sat., Oct. 29, from noon to 9 pm at the Jacksboro Middle School Football field. Admission is free.

There will be music, vendors, food and crafts throughout the day, with trick or treating from 6 to 7 pm and the costume contest is at 8 pm.  A Halloween dance and more contests will also be featured.

Music will be performed by Ray Graham, Jay Jay Russell, Jesse Cole James, and Joseph Hensley. Halloween themed music will be performed by a live artist as well as by the DJ for the dance.

According to event organizer Sharon Chapman, there will be fun for all ages.

Chapman hosted the Campbell County Shows Off Festival each summer for the past couple years and decided to do something for Fall.

“We love holding the June event each year and wanted to expand with more community events for our area. Everyone loves fall, and I thought if we incorporated Halloween as well we could really get the students involved,” Chapman said.

Another way she is including area students is hosting an art contest open to ages 5 to 18. There will be five age categories and winners will receive prizes. Students must be at the festival with their art and ready for the contest to start by 3 pm. Students can also have a vendor art sell and display booths at no cost at the festival, but the art must be original by the student. Contact Chapman for more information and to register.

From 6 pm to 7 pm, there will be trick or treating at vendor locations, as well as a “Ghoul Avenue” for the kids to get candy. “Ghoul Avenue” will feature multiple fall and Halloween themed booths.
