LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Speeding cost a Jacksboro man at trip to jail last Thursday night. Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Fox was patrolling on Old Middlesboro Hwy near the Fincastle Church of God when he saw a green Ford F150 pick-up truck going over the speed limit. Fox confirmed through radar the speed of the vehicle was 50 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Fox stopped the truck and spoke with the driver, and when he requested the driver’s license, the driver reported a false name. After a brief investigation, Fox learned the man’s name was Ryan Travis Gulley. Gulley reported that he had lied about his name in order to not get in trouble for having a revoked license, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Fox confirmed through dispatch that Gulley’s license was revoked with one prior for driving on revoked.

Gulley, 31, 165 Lake View Lane, Jacksboro was charged with criminal impersonation, driving on revoked/suspended (2nd) and speeding.

Based on records at the Campbell County Jail, this was Gulley’s 11th arrest. He is free on bond this morning awaiting a November court date. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/20/2022-6AM)
