Gladys McGhee Queener age 96 of Jacksboro, was welcomed home by her Savior and family on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at her earthly residence.  She became a Christian at the age of 14 and for the last 54 years she was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church. Gladys enjoyed quilting, embroidery, her flower gardens, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren that gave her much laughter and cheer. 

Gladys has now joined her husband of 54 years in heaven, Thomas Queener; parents  Carl and Senda (Bullock) McGhee; brothers Daniel McGhee, Samuel McGhee and his wife Betty, Audie McGhee, Don McGhee and his wife Arlene, and Harry McGhee and his wife Linda; and sister Velsie Mays and husband Rex.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Q. and husband Ken Starrett; daughter Kathy Q. Wilson; son Thomas and wife Debbie Queener and Bill and wife Sharon Queener; grandchildren Cindi and Matt Myers, Adam Wilson, Justin Queener, Jackson and Krystle Mohor, Levi and Kimberly Queener, and Cynthia S. and Tim Woods; 10 great grandchildren; sister Ocie Burch; sister-in-law Glenna Lay; special friends Lena and David Nelson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregiver Judy Minton for the love and precious care she showed our mother. 

Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Jacksboro Cemetery for an 1:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson and Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating.
