LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – You may remember the water line breaks that caused so much trouble on the east side of La Follette last Thursday and Friday. If you are an LUB customer in the area around La Follette Middle School and the post office, you know all too well about those water outages. See Charlie Hutson’s full photo gallery HERE.

Cobie Herron, the backhoe operator started the dig around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Yesterday afternoon, an LUB crew went back to one of the three original breakage areas and took care of a leak.

Mitch Mullens, Adam Wilson and Cobie Herron are waiting for the pump to drain the area near the break.
Adam Wilson does a hand search to locate the leak.
The leak on East Central Avenue in front of the post office is repaired, and the hole is being closed as a gravel base is being poured.
The LUB crew is laying down and smoothing the top cover of cold patch.
They are compacting the cold patch topping as the project nears completion.
