This car hit a tree on Sunday morning sending its two occupants to the hospital. The mishap occurred just west of Roberts Grocery at Doaks Creek.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A single-vehicle wreck east of La Follette sent the two occupants of the car to the hospital. That accident was followed by a two-car mishap just south of Jellico.

It was 9:14am, according to officials, when a vehicle struck a tree at Doaks Creek at 3057 Old Middlesboro Highway. One patient was transported to a Knoxville hospital while the other was taken to the La Follette Medical Center.

About two hours later, a two-car, non-injury wreck happened on I-75 at Mile Marker 156, the Rarity Mountain Exit. That’s on the northbound side about four miles south of Jellico.

Officials say there were no injuries. One car hit the retainer wall while the other car ended up in the middle of the road according to the report. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/06/2022-11AM)
