JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Sheriff Wayne Barton and his staff have had a busy second month around Campbell County.  This morning, the sheriff is providing a summary of the month of October activity.

“I would like to thank our deputies for providing excellent service across all parts of Campbell County. The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is working hard to protect and serve our community,” said Barton.

During the month of October 2022:

Miles patrolled 35,881 (Sept. 27,972)

Calls for Service 678 (Sept. 582)

Civil Process 229 (Sept. 206)

Assisted Motorist 55 (Sept. 58)

Property Checks 1,298 (Sept. 601)

Arrests 34 (Sept. 26)

Citations 23 (Sept. 11)

Incident Reports 66 (Sept. 56)

Crash Reports 19 (Sept. 21)

Funeral Escorts 31 (Sept. 30)

There were 267 bags of litter picked up across 46 miles of Campbell County roads.
