LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The caller described the house as being fully involved to operators with La Follette 9-1-1 Dispatch. It was just after 6:30 Friday morning when the structure caught fire, and firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department were on scene in just a couple of minutes.

Firefighters had a long walk to this house fire on Friday morning.

The challenge to this fire was that the home is located about a hundred feet off Back Valley Road in a heavily wooded area. The home backs up to North Massachusetts Avenue near where La Follette Court Assisted Living, the La Follette Public Works compound and the Campbell County EMS station are located.

LFD Firefighters battle this fire from North Massachusetts Avenue, Back Valley Road and right at the structure.

Firefighters fought the fire with units stationed on North Massachusetts Avenue and Back Valley Road. Hose was stretched through the wooded area to the house and water was shot from one unit a good distance to the fire.
