Ella Adcock, 89, of LaFollette, TN passed away peacefully on November 10, 2022. Born in Hazard, KY on  August 5, 1933. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. She loved to sing gospel hymns, work with her hands, crafting and cooking, especially Sunday meals for her family, for funerals, anytime a meal was needed, she would provide. If she was not cooking, she was busy crocheting, tole painting, and basket weaving just to name a few of the many crafts she enjoyed.  Above everything, she loved spending time with her grandson.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Adcock; parents, Adam and Sarah Brewer; sisters: Sophia Barrett, Gladys Browning, Stella Davidson, Rhoda Hall, Hazel Sumner, and brothers David Brewer, Darwin Brewer and Glen Brewer.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Rayma and Mark Daugherty of Jacksboro; grandson, Grant Daugherty of Jacksboro, brother-sister in-laws, Bill Adcock and Bob (Ruby) Adcock both of LaFollette; sister in-laws, Jean Brewer and Nevada Brewer both of Hazard, KY; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cedar Hill Baptist Church, 636 Demory Rd., LaFollette, TN on Tuesday November, 15. Receiving of friends, 6-6:30, service following at 6:30 with Dr. Bryan Burge officiating.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to special hospice nurse, Jamie Partin and the rest of the Avalon Hospice care team along with the special staff at Cumberland Village Healthcare.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cedar Hill Baptist Church deacons benevolence fund, 636 Demory Rd., LaFollette, TN 37766.

  3. from Diana and Larry Hixon aunt Ella was the sweetest persons I know. She always made you feel special. I loved to hear laugh. Ramay you had one of the greatest Mother. I can’t wait to see her again when I walk into heaven’s door and hear that special laugh again. Boy that will be a great day when I get to see her beautiful face again. Rayma sending you a big hug.
