Michael Wayne Gross, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 13, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being at the lake and driving trucks which he did all his life.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Willie Bell Ward Gross; brothers, Lavernia Gross, Freddie Gross, Eugene Gross, Johnny Gross, and Charles Gross; sisters, Darlene Gross, Sarah Lou Gross, Nancy Sue Gross, and Mary Violet Sparks.

He is survived by the mother of his son, Kathy McNeeley; son, Michael Gross and wife Tina of LaFollette; step son Ray Graham II of Jacksboro; brothers, James Gross and wife Pansey of Dayton, TN, Ralph Gross and wife Ella of Jacksboro, Robert Lynn Gross and wife Hazel of LaFollette, and Carlos Ray Gross and wife Jackie of Jacksboro; sister, Roberta Ann Miller of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Brittany Crisp, Alex Gross, Joseph Shepperd; step grandchildren, Logan, Maverick, Wyatt, and Harlyn Graham; great grandchild, Maxyn “Little Hillbilly”; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 16, 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, funeral service to follow at 8 PM with Rev C.H. Baird and Rev. Bill Rutherford officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:15 AM Thursday November 17, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for an 11 AM interment.
