JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) Commodity distributions are scheduled in early December for Campbell County. That’s Tuesday, December 6, at the Jellico Library at 104 N Main Street from 8:30am – 11:30am or until the food is gone. The other distribution is on Wednesday, December 7, at the La Follette Community Center, the former West La Follette School) on 300 West Beech Street from 8:30am until 3pm (lunch break from noon to 1:30pm) or until the food is gone.

At La Follette, commodities will be distributed during the hours of 8:30am noon and then from 1:30 until 3:00pm or until the food is gone.  The staff will break for lunch from noon to 1:30pm.

The staff at ETHRA requests that no one arrive more than 30 minutes ahead of the start time.  Arriving too early creates congestion and confusion.

Everyone must bring a box, bag or crate to carry your USDA commodities food.  ETHRA does not provide containers.

People can only pick up for three households.

In accordance with federal law, both ETHRA and the USDA are prohibited from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

If you have any questions, you can call Renee at the local Campbell County ETHRA Office at 423.562.2948 extension 5202.  Darlene’s extension is 5201.

To re-certify for USDA Commodities, clients only need to come to the county office of their residence.  Please bring proof of SNAP benefits, TANF(Families First), SSI, LIHEAP(energy assistance), or proof of all monthly income when you come to recertify. CSBG staff will be out of their offices the days before the distribution.  Clients not signed up may still go to the distribution site and receive a box/bag of food.
