LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It was a sunny Sunday afternoon with the temperature sitting at 37-degrees, and the skate park was booming. Ten skaters were honing their skills when WLAF’s Charlie Hutson caught up with them.

“This is one of the best skate parks around,” said Kristin Walden, who used to live in La Follette. She describes this park as better than the ones at Clinton and Oak Ridge.

“I agree with Kristin. I’ve been to several skate parks, and this one here in La Follette is one of the better parks,” said Ruben Malicoat.

California native Blaine Ramirez is only 15 years old. However, he’s been skateboarding for almost half his live at seven years. “It’s a really cool park,” said Ramirez.

“This park sees skaters everyday with some skaters coming here three to four times a week,” said Malicoat. It’s something that’s fun to do, he adds. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/21/2022-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
