LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Tennessee ranks at a high level for Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and is one of four states in that category according to the Centers for Disease Control. “It’s not too late to get a flu shot. It’s rampant in Tennessee,” said Raewyn Snodderly, pharmacist at Terry’s Pharmacy.

Snodderly said both locations of Terry’s Pharmacy have a large supply of the flu vaccine, and that flu shots are at no cost to patients. “You don’t need an appointment. Just come by either Terry’s Pharmacy in La Follette (423.562.4928) or Jacksboro (423.563.7455) and get your shot. No appointment is needed, and we’ll even come out to your car,” Snodderly said.

Campbell County is located in the East Tennessee Region.

Influenza-Like Illness Activity Fast Facts:

•The percentage of outpatients with ILI visiting the Tennessee’s sentinel clinic sites was 11.2%.  The CDC baseline is 3.1%.

•There have been 0 pediatric influenza-related deaths this season.

•0 pregnant women have died from influenza-related illness this season.
