LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- In support of the Jacksboro Police Department’s annual Shop with a Cop program, the LaFollette Police Department is selling its yearly patch.

Each year, the LPD has 100 patches made in support of the Shop with a Cop program. “These are a limited edition and they sell quickly,” said LPD Chief Steve Wallen. This is the third year the patches have been produced and their popularity has grown with orders coming from across North America, according to Wallen.

By purchasing the $20 patch, buyers are making a donation to the JPD’s program that provides Christmas for children across the county.  Patches can be purchased with cash or a money order. Money orders should be made out to “Shop with a Cop.”

“All of the proceeds from the patches go to Shop with a Cop,” Wallen said. Patches are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4pm at the LaFollette Police Department.

All proceeds benefit the “Shop with a Cop” Program.

The LPD has also instituted “No Shave November” where officers can pay $25 to not shave their beards throughput the month, Wallen said. This has been so successful the project is extending into December. To date, 10 officers have taken part in the initiative with all of those proceeds going to Shop with a Cop.
