Wlaf1450Willie Mae Clotfelter, age 91 of Caryville, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Norris Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 4, 1931 in La Follette to the late Walter and Pearl Crigger Lawson. She was a very kind, compassionate person who was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved animals and especially dogs. Willie enjoyed travelling with her late husband, Homer Clotfelter, before he passed. They travelled to many different churches and events where he would sing with his gospel groups. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Lawson and Ray Lawson; and son-in-law, Roger Lovegrove.
She is survived by: children, Dennis Clotfelter and wife Betty, and Karen Lovegrove; grandchildren, Terra Gomez and husband Steven, Paula Jones and husband Israel; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Evangelina, Ella, Emily, and Lucas; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 12-1pm with the funeral service at 1pm with the Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating. Her interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.com
