LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Yesterday WLAF News spoke with City of La Follette Public Works Director Casey Boshears about the possibility of severe winter weather this week and the city’s preparedness for the weather. Boshears reported his department had put on the snowplows and salt spreaders Tuesday.

Boshears said he would be keeping a close eye on the weather and have crews on stand-by should the anticipated snow and ice arrive. He continued that the department will be “playing the situation by ear” and awaiting word from the police department about road conditions.

Rain changing to snow along with plummeting temperatures into the single-digits is forecast for late Thursday into Friday. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/22/2022-6AM)
