NOVEMBER

The home sits about a hundred feet off Back Valley Road and is between Back Valley Road and North Massachusetts Avenue near the La Follette Public Works facility. The caller described the house as being fully involved to operators with La Follette 9-1-1 Dispatch. It was just after 6:30 Friday morning (November 11) when the structure caught fire, and firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department were on scene in just a couple of minutes.

DECEMBER

Cove Lake State Park hosted the annual Christmas Dash, run or walk, on Saturday morning. “It was a good turnout for a rainy morning,” said Race Director Clarence Lowe. CLICK HERE to read more.

Gavin Cooper finished first in December’s Christmas Dash.

An arrest was made following a disturbance and shooting. Investigators with the detective division of the La Follette Police Department arrested 29-year-old Tiphani Rashel Taylor on an aggravated assault charge. Taylor was accused of shooting her live-in boyfriend. He suffered a single gunshot wound, police said. CLICK HERE to read more.
