Haskell Gayle Nelson, age 72 of LaFollette passed away on January 9, 2023 at his home. He was a member and trustee of Demory Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Retha Nelson; sister and brother-in-law EttaSue and Ronald Goins; son Robert Lee Nelson-Plemons

Gayle is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lunda Nelson; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Jean and CL Adkins; sons, Jamie Nelson-Plemons, Frankie Nelson-Plemons, Robert Evans, Chance Nelson, Skeyevinn Nelson; daughters, Rebecca (Becky) Hoskins, Seidina Nelson-Simpson, and Serenity Nelson; granddaughter, Sarah Bowling; great granddaughters, Aeriona and Faylinn; special nephew, Timothy and Angela Goins; special nieces, Galia and David Thompson and Karla and James Baird, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 12, 2023 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Danny Wilson, Rev. Thomas Adkins, and Bro. Don Atherton officiating.
