JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – We are thrilled to announce that Mary Ann Ayers, Jessica Chapman, and Erik Hill have been named Campbell County Schools’ District Teachers of the Year. These dedicated educators have been recognized for their outstanding achievements and commitment to their students and the community.

Mrs. Mary Ann Ayers, the Elementary School representative, has been a teacher for 20 years and has developed a passion for learning. She is known for creating an environment where students feel safe to take risks and learn from their mistakes. Mrs. Ayers goes beyond the classroom by contributing to the school yearbook staff, writing and designing the school monthly newsletter, and organizing community charity events such as the Feed the Hungry can food drive and care packages for a local nursing home.

Ms. Jessica Chapman, the Middle School representative, is a data-driven teacher who brings the standards to life in hands-on ways. She is committed to building positive relationships with her students and sets healthy boundaries. In addition to teaching, she is also the girls’ basketball coach and is dedicated to making a positive impact on her students outside the classroom.

Mr. Erik Hill, the High School representative, has a passion for helping teachers and schools. He returned to teaching after a career in finance and real estate and is honored to be recognized by Campbell County High School. He is committed to creating a classroom environment where students feel safe and successful and emphasizes the importance of building positive relationships with students.

According to the Director of Schools, Jennifer Fields, “It is an honor to have such dedicated educators in our district. Mary Ann, Jessica, and Erik are true examples of excellence in teaching. They go above and beyond for their students and their commitment to the community is truly inspiring. We are proud to have them as a part of our team at Campbell County Schools.”
