Mrs. Hazel A. Kidwell, age 90 of the Stinking Creek Community quietly slipped into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.  Mrs. Kidwell attended Stinking Creek Baptist Church.  She enjoyed making and gifting quilts, working jigsaw puzzles, and gardening. She was the sweetest lady in the world. She was the matriarch of not just her immediate family, but her entire family.  All our hearts are broken, but we know as she slipped away from us she was greeted by her husband, Ebbie, Son, Ken, Son-in-Law, Austin, and many other loved ones waiting for her.

She leaves behind her Daughters, JoAnn Johnson and Lula Mae, and Husband, Lee Roberts; Grandchildren, Kenny Lee Kidwell, Amy and Eric Simmons, Crystal, and James Bolton, and Amber and Mike Reynolds; Great Grandchildren, Noah Parkerson, E.J. and Amyia Simmons, Dalis and Tucker Bolton, and Zane Reynolds, and other Grandchildren of the Heart, who fondly referred to her as Mamaw Hazel; Brother, Robert “Bob” Ridenour, and Sister-in-Law, Faye Goodwin. Many Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Walters Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will meet Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Stinking Creek Baptist Church for 1:00 P.M. Funeral Services with Bishop Delmus Bruce, Rev. Hansford Bolton, and Rev. Mike Grooms officiating.  Interment to follow at Davis Cemetery.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Hazel A. Kidwell.
