POWELL, TN (WLAF) – UPDATE: After roughly an hour of an evacuation, games have resumed at Powell High School. Watch live on WLAF.

The Powell – Karns girls basketball game, the first of two tonight at Jeff Hunter Gym, has been suspended. The gymnasium and Powell High School have been evacuated. Fire trucks with the Knoxville Fire Department are on the campus, and it’s believed that lightning hit a structure somewhere on the campus. We are not certain at this moment if games will be resumed tonight. The Campbell Lady Cougars were scheduled to play Oak Ridge in the 7:30 contest. Stay connected to WLAF for updates.
