LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – La Follette Monuments is locally owned and operated by Chris and Mary Arnold and is this week’s WLAF “Business of the Week.” It sits along the four lane in the same spot Owen and Betty Hatmaker founded the business, known as La Follette Monument Company back in the day, circa 1947. That’s just east from the high school on the same side of the highway.

Painted monuments are another of La Follette Monuments features.

“Our busy season is starting to take shape,” said Amy Huckaby, manager of La Follette Monuments. The staff at La Follette Monuments creates your monument, delivers and sets it. “Etching, painting and even porcelain pictures for monuments are other features La Follette Monuments offers in addition to bronze monuments, according to Huckaby. Colored stones are also available. Huckaby points out that they also create pet stones.

La Follette Monuments serves the more than 50 cemeteries in Campbell County as well as those in surrounding counties.

Amy Huckaby has been with La Follette Monuments since 2017.

There are many additional services La Follette Monuments offers like the reset of monuments, regardless where it was purchased. “We also add death dates on site with our portable sandblasting,” said Huckaby.

Colored and multi-shaped stones are available.
