LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joshua Jeffers was dispatched to 146 Skyline Knoll Lane, in the Deerfield Community of La Follette, last Saturday about a trespassing. When Jeffers arrived he found a white 2022 Cadillac driven by Sandra Jo Compton sitting at a stop sign at the intersection of Skyline Knoll Lane and White Tail Lane.

Jeffers approached the car and asked Compton why she was there after being trespassed on Feb. 15 by Deputy Jason Shears. According to a report from the sheriff’s office, Compton told Jeffers she was working with the FBI, CIA, and the Secret Service when she ran out of gas doing her job.

Jeffers asked the woman to get out of the vehicle to which she allegedly responded that she was not getting out and rolled the window up. Jeffers gave several verbal commands for Compton to get out of the Cadillac. Compton then stated she was going to kill Jeffers and began digging in the center console of the car. Jeffers broke the drivers side window and opened the door. However, the woman continued to refuse Jeffers commands and physically resisted Jeffers while he was removing her from the vehicle. Jeffers then took Compton to the ground at which time she tucked her hands underneath her body and continued refusing commands. Jeffers was able to get her arms behind her back and eventually placed her in handcuffs.

Compton, 70, 2206 Penuche Way, Holly Springs, NC was charged with criminal trespassing and resisting stop frisk halt arrest. Compton was released on Monday on her own recognizance and is due in court on March 23, according to jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/02/2023-6AM)
