The tree fell on South Cumberland Avenue/Long Hollow Road on the hood of this truck just as the driver reacted and was able to stop and back away. No one was injured.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “We’ve had some big trees fall, five or six,” said Casey Boshears, Director of Public Works for the City of La Follette. The current tree needing to be cleared is blocking Pleasant Ridge Road.

As you head down the hill toward the water treatment plant is where the tree is across the road on Pleasant Ridge Road.

Camp Ridge Road off Long Hollow Road is an alternate route.

A tree fell over power lines and onto the hood of a pick-up truck a few blocks over from the Pleasant Ridge Road downed tree. That’s just down the hill on South Cumberland Avenue as it turns into Long Hollow Road.

It’s actually two trees that fell over the power lines knocking out power to quite a few LUB customers.

Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck and three crews are on the scene of the South Cumberland Avenue downed tree.

Reports of trees down are coming in from all around Campbell County. At 5:45pm, more than 3,200 LUB customers were without power. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/03/2023-5:30PM)
