JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Bryan College Fishing Coach Mike Keen has a world of knowledge when it comes to fishing, and today, he went right back to one of his favorite fishing holes; Campbell High. His latest catch is Cougar Bryson Dotson.
Dotson officially signed scholarship papers Friday morning at 9:00 o’clock at Brown Gym. Lots of family, friends and countless class and teammates were on hand.
“I’ve not been anywhere as much as I have this building. In fact, I need to have an office here,” laughed Keen. “I think Bryson is the fifth Cougar we’ve had go to Bryan on a fishing scholarship,” said Matt Price, Campbell High Director of Athletics.
Keen said he knew Bryson long before he met him. Son Gabe is the Cougars Fishing Coach and the elder Keen received first hand reports on the budding angler well ahead of an introduction.
Dotson will join another Cougar on the Bryan Lions Fishing Team, Matt Dopp.
“Bryson’s a good addition and will fit in well. His character is outstanding,” said Coach Mike Keen. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/10/2023-10AM)
